Laravel POS provides a desktop and tablet sales interface with barcode scanning, product search and order records. It also manages customer and supplier details, tracks purchases and shows sales summaries. Several checkout features remain unfinished in the README checklist.

   Check prerequisites

   Check the official docs for Laravel server requirements and OS-specific preparation. Install Composer before installing project dependencies.

   Clone the project

   Run git clone https://github.com/angkosal/laravel-pos.git [YourDirectoryName], choosing your directory name, then run cd YourDirectoryName.

   Install PHP dependencies

   Run composer install.

   Configure the application

   Copy or rename .env.example to .env. Run php artisan key:generate, then set your database credentials and APP_URL in .env.

   Initialize the database

   Run php artisan migrate, then php artisan db:seed. The seeder initializes settings and creates the administrator account with email admin@gmail.com and password admin123.

   Install and build frontend dependencies

   Run npm install. Use npm run dev for development or npm run build for production.

   Link storage

   Run php artisan storage:link.

   Start the local server

   Run php artisan serve and visit localhost:8000 in your browser. Sign in with the seeded administrator credentials. The README also mentions Laravel Homestead as an alternative.
